PasteMaster
Lightweight desktop screenshot management for Windows. Capture, organize, annotate, and track every screenshot — with project-based workflows and zero friction.
Three Modes, One Tool
Escalate from manual to fully automatic, depending on what you need.
Paste Only
Full manual control. Screenshots sit on the clipboard until you decide where to put them. Press the paste hotkey, pick a folder, done.
Project Mode
Select a project profile and every screenshot automatically saves to that project's folder using its naming rules. Switch projects in one click.
Session Mode
Start a named capture session within a project. PasteMaster creates a dated subfolder and routes all captures there until you end the session.
Built for Screenshot-Heavy Workflows
Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Region & Full Screen Capture
Draw a rectangle on any screen or capture all monitors at once. Multi-monitor and DPI-aware. The widget hides itself automatically during capture.
Project Profiles
Each project stores its save folder, file type, naming convention, and custom prefix. Switch between clients or tasks instantly from the tray menu.
Annotation Editor
Built-in editor with arrows, rectangles, circles, lines, freehand drawing, text boxes, and blur — all with customizable colors and thickness. Undo/redo included.
Screenshot History
Every capture is logged in a local database. Browse with thumbnails, filter by profile, session, or date — and detect renamed or moved files via SHA-256 hashing.
Clipboard Auto-Detection
In Project and Session modes, PasteMaster watches the clipboard. Use Win+Shift+S, PrintScreen, or any tool — it detects and saves automatically.
Explorer Integration
Right-click in any folder in Windows Explorer to paste a screenshot directly there, using your active profile's file type and naming convention.
The Details That Matter
Small touches that make a big difference in daily use.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from Windows Snipping Tool?
PasteMaster adds project-based organization, automatic file naming, session tracking, a full capture history browser, annotation tools, and Explorer integration. Snipping Tool captures a screenshot — PasteMaster manages your entire screenshot workflow.
Can I use PrintScreen as my capture key?
Yes. PasteMaster uses a low-level keyboard hook that intercepts keystrokes before Windows sees them. You can bind PrintScreen and override Snipping Tool without changing any Windows settings.
Does it work with multiple monitors?
Yes. Region capture works across all monitors with DPI-aware coordinate handling. Full screen capture captures all monitors at once.
Where are my screenshots stored?
Wherever you want. Each project profile has its own save folder. By default, screenshots go to your Pictures\PasteMaster folder. Settings and history are stored in %APPDATA%\PasteMaster.
Is it free?
Yes. PasteMaster is completely free. No ads, no telemetry, no license keys.
