How to make cable and panel labels
A wrap-around cable label with the text printed twice, why short text wins, and the same idea a size up for a breaker panel.
Steps

Make a small custom size
New label → Custom, 1.5 by 0.5 inches. Cable labels are the smallest useful label there is.

Put the text on twice
Add one centred, bold text line in the top half, then Duplicate it and place the copy in the bottom half. When the label wraps around the cable, one of them always ends up facing you.

Keep the text short
A switch name and a port, a circuit number, a room. Auto-fit will shrink a long label to fit, but shrinking it to unreadable is not a win.

Scale it up for a panel
A 2" × 0.5" label with the circuit number and what it feeds. White text on black reads well against a grey panel and is a solid burn on a thermal printer, so it stays crisp.
