How to print your emergency recovery sheet
KeysWalletWatch prints a one-page recovery sheet: your recovery key, the vault name and date, and where the vault file lives. Print it once and store it like a passport.
Short answer: The printable emergency sheet is the recovery key sheet. Print it during setup with Print Recovery Key, or later from Settings → Security with Generate Recovery Key or Replace & Print New Key. It holds the vault name, the date, your recovery key, storage advice and where the vault file is kept.
Steps

During setup
On the Your Recovery Key screen click Print Recovery Key. Windows' print dialog opens with the sheet.

Later, from Settings
Settings → Security → Recovery Key. With no key yet, click Generate Recovery Key. With one already, click Replace & Print New Key and then Continue. Either way a new key is made and printed; any older printed key stops working.

Print on paper
Pick a real printer. The sheet says not to keep the key digitally on the same PC — a PDF in your Documents folder defeats the point.

Check the sheet
It shows KeysWalletWatch Recovery Key, Vault: <name>, Generated: <date>, the key in large type, an Important Warning, Storage Instructions and Vault File Location.

Store it safely
A safe, a lockbox or a safety-deposit box. Consider a second copy in a separate place, and tell the person who would need it where it is.
Worth knowing
- The sheet cannot re-print the key you already have — the key is never stored readable. Printing from Settings always makes a new key.
- The vault file is in %APPDATA%\com.keyswalletwatch.app (AppData\Roaming). Sheets printed by version 1.6.2 or older say AppData\Local — that line was wrong and is fixed in 1.6.3.
- Keep the sheet with, but not next to, a written note of the master password if you keep one. Either one alone should not open the vault for a stranger who also has the PC.
Questions
- Can I print my KeysWalletWatch passwords?
- The app prints the recovery sheet, not a list of passwords. To get your passwords out, use CSV Import / Export → Export to CSV, which writes plain text — handle it carefully.
- I printed a new recovery key. Does the old one still work?
- No. Generating or replacing a key invalidates the previous one on every device.
