KeysWalletWatch troubleshooting: sync, pairing codes, license errors and SmartScreen

• Open Settings → Sync. It should say Connected. Click Sync Now; a "Vault synced" message means it worked.
• The other PC checks every 60 seconds while unlocked, and when you unlock it. Lock and unlock it to check straight away.
• If the unlock screen says Relay not reachable — opening the local copy, that PC is offline or cannot reach sync.keyswalletwatch.com. Check the internet connection, VPN or firewall.
• Make sure both PCs show under Paired Devices, with a recent Last sync. A PC that is missing was revoked or never paired — pair it again.
• Check you are in the same vault on both PCs: two vaults with the same name set up separately are two different syncs. The second PC must join with a pairing code, not Set Up.

• Invalid or expired pairing code or The pairing code expired. Generate a new one and try again. — codes last 5 minutes and work once. Click Generate Code again.
• Keep Settings → Sync open on the first PC while the new PC requests access; the Approve button appears there, under the code.
• The other device denied this request. — someone clicked Deny. Generate a new code and approve it.
• Type the code as shown (ABCD-1234 style); letters are capitalised for you.

The relay checks your license before it stores anything. Version 1.6.3 says what to do in plain words; older versions show the relay's code instead:

• license_required — this PC has no active key. Settings → License → enter your key and Activate (each PC needs it; one key covers five).
• sync_plan_required — the key has no sync, or the pass ran out. Buy or renew sync with the same email, then click the round-arrow check button on the License tab. Until then downloads still work but uploads are paused.
• profile_cap — the plan already syncs as many vaults as it covers (2, 6 or 15). Move up to Family or Team, or contact us if one of those vaults is no longer in use.

• That key is not valid — check for typos; keys look like BE-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. Copy and paste from the email rather than typing.
• Every computer on this license is in use — the app lists the computers on the key. Sign one out with Sign one out in the portal, or from that PC (Settings → License → Sign out this computer).
• This computer has already had its free trial — one trial per PC. Enter the trial key that was emailed, or buy a license.
• Could not reach the license server — check the connection and click Activate again. A licensed PC keeps working offline.
• Too many attempts — wait a minute and try again.
• Trial email not there? Check spam, then Resend trial key on the License tab.

"Windows protected your PC" appears for files Windows has not seen many times yet, even signed ones. Click More info, check that the publisher reads Beckham Enterprises, LLC, and click Run anyway. If the publisher is anything else, do not run it — download again from keyswalletwatch.com or this page.

Settings → Security → Audit Log lists unlocks, syncs, pairings and changes with times — useful when something changed and you do not know why. Still stuck? Contact us; a person who built it answers.
